Parent of A.P., 11 yo and A.P., 7yo

Dr. Mukherjee is caring and thoroughshe inspires the utmost confidence by her smile, she is a wealth of knowledge, skill, and professionalism. From my very first visit to her office, I was made to feel welcome and comfortable both by her friendly competence and the pleasant environment of the office itself .

Dr. Mukherjee was very caring and understanding towards me and my children during our visit, My youngest child is very shy around new people, but she took the time to talk to her, play games share little snacks and just made her feel comfortable, she never talked down to my kids - neither did she apply pressure if they were not ready for the evaluation.

She is a doctor that talks to you and LISTENS,  she makes you feel like you are dealing with family, and she speaks in terms that you can understand, and is very easy to talk to. After the evaluation she took her time with me to ensure that I understood what my children's needs were..

Dr. Mukherjee is simply THE BEST! and I would not trust my children's evaluations to anyone else. I am so grateful that I can cite my experience with Dr. Mukherjee among my blessings!

Parent of S.S., 12yo

Dr. Mukherjee evaluated my 12yo daughter in February, 2016. I was referred to her by my special education attorney. I was seeking private school for my daughter as she had been unsuccessful in public school for the past 6 years. Dr. Mukherjee worked around our schedule and when she met my daughter, my daughter fell in love with her. She was kind, caring, warm and encouraging. Dr. Mukherjee performed her assessments over a 2 day process. Through the whole process she held my daughter's hand and held my hand. Admittedly, the results of her assessment were difficult for me to grapple with. Dr. Mukherjee provided me the space and comfort I needed to begin to deal with my daughter's diagnosis. Once we had a working diagnosis, Dr. Mukherjee provided a list of schools that serviced children with the same or similar diagnosis. I applied to different schools and Dr. Mukherjee would follow up with these schools by contacting the admissions office or emailing them and strongly advocating for her patients!! She was wonderful. Dr. Mukherjee even went way beyond the call of duty and visited one of the schools I had applied to. Dr. Mukherjee will always hold a special place in my heart. She is the epitome of professional excellence, kind and gracious character.....and a doctor who wants only THE BEST outcome and placement for her patients.

Dear Parents of Teenaged neurodiverse students,

Please allow me to “share” my praises for Dr. Preetika Mukherjee, a true gem, as she cares about our children and strives to advocate for their needs and capabilities.  My child has a 12-month school program and was “caught up” in the “mismanagement” of the COVID 853 school system.  He never experienced 5th-grade graduation or 8th-grade graduation, as COVID had demolished his age group with remote learning and social promotion.  As a result, we learned he had severe academic regression and diminished social skills.  When the children were welcomed back to school, he was starting high school, in the 9th grade, and we had asked the principal to please help, as his social skills needed practice.  The principal said that he should have “learned” that in elementary school.  So my son is in a “new school” of 70 students (9-12th grade) where he knows no one.  Sadly, the students attending the school did not take well to my son, the new kid.  They bullied him and constantly “set him up” to get him in trouble.

Not only was Dr. Mukherjee patient and cajoling in gaining my son’s trust, she was also able to have meaningful dialogue to understand my son’s challenges, experiences, and trauma.  The neuropsyche report generated was “spot on” and, to the dismay of the DOE, revealed many learning deficits that they were accountable for.  You will be pleased with her thorough work and seasoned, expert recommendations. She interviews the student, school staff, and relevant providers for a well-rounded analysis.

Subsequently, the DOE continued to ignore important recommendations, and we had to take a legal approach.  We sued the DOE, and Dr. Mukherjee’s testimony was priceless, and we won the case!  We are especially grateful to our Attorney and Dr. Mukherjee for their “due diligence” and meticulous work.  We “highly” recommend Dr. Mukherjee - she takes care of business and is the “best” child advocate!
